Adventures in Geocaching!

Saddle Mound was listed as a 4 star for terrain and boy was it. We went pretty much directly UP the side of Saddle Mound. Sure didnt look that hard from the bottom but by the time we were 1/3 of the way up, Chrissy and I were already huffing and puffing. Stevie on the other hand was trying not to laugh at his out of shape sisters! We went straight up but the cache itself, once we were just below the actual top of the ridge the coordinates said we had to walk 500+ feet to the east-southeast. We walked along the edge of a beautiful outcropping, over downed trees and along sandy "trails". When we got near to the cache spot, the cache was between us and the top so we split up and Chrissy found the actual spot. We logged our visit and then went onto the top of the ridge for a breathtaking view. Want to go back in the fall when the colors change to see the sight at that time.
